“Folks are usually about as happy as they make their minds up to be.” ― Abraham Lincoln. Happiness takes reflective actionable work that sometimes involves making waves, stirring waters, making a dust up.
You have heard those phrases before, right? Do you think the words ring true? Happiness is about controlling your actionable attitude. You are unable to control many things; however, your attitude would fall into your direct controllable category.
Happiness - how does ones attitude lift to a happy status? Ohhhhh yeah.... YOGA. Well, yoga may help the yogini to refocus. You’ve heard the term attitude adjustment. Yoga practice helps with
breath control, movement control and wait for it.... attitude refocus. This is not the jargon new latitude, new attitude. Your attitude with accepting yoga benefits may shift from mediocre to happy and then from happy to uber calm happiness.
“Folks are usually about as happy as they make their minds up to be.” ― Abraham Lincoln. Think about happiness and enemies. Happiness does not mean no enemies does it? Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Ahhhhh happiness.
Have you watched The Crown on Netflix? Lady Diana struggled with happiness and enemies. One of Lady Diana’s friends and enemies were nasty assed Anorexia and its nasty assed cousin bulimia.
Yoga may become your healthier enemy and your healthier friend. “No Enemies” by Charles Mackay (est. 1915)
You have no enemies, you say?
Alas! my friend, the boast is poor;
He who has mingled in the fray
Of duty, that the brave endure,
Must have made foes! If you have none,
Small is the work that you have done.
You’ve hit no traitor on the hip,
You’ve dashed no cup from perjured lip,
You’ve never turned the wrong to right,
You’ve been a coward in the fight.
Namaste Ways enemies and happiness, Namaste Ways.
