TAKE NOTHING FOR GRANTED

The life we lead, a wonderful life... the movie “A Wonderful Life” Have you watched the flick? The movie generally is shown during holiday time. Lucky, easy, happy, content for this moment. How wonderful life is when you’re in the world. Agreed life is wonderful. Ponder, how wonderful life is when you are in the world does that describe ones self? Or is it about another? Have you thought about the phrase, how wonderful life is when you’re in the world? Bathed in a warm light... how wonderful life is when you’re in the world. Even on a shit day, our Iives are pretty damned great.

Yoga practice allows for warm light, kindness, peace, serenity and calmness of spirit. Yes, even on a shit day there is warmth, a glimmer of kind behavior, peaceful existence, serene presence and tamed verbiage. In one twenty-four hour day..... how many items large and small are taken for granted? Examples list as follows: Gasoline in the car, hell tires on the car with air inside along with a drivers license and auto insurance. Big or tiny have you taken anything for granted

today, yesterday, last month? Yoga breath.... yoga instance...... poof...... wave the wand.... try, really try to not take big or tiny items for granted. For that matter...... concentrate on thankfulness for everything...... yes blanket statement... EVERYTHING.

When someone pisses you off (and it happens to all of us) concentrate on thankfulness that you were able to feel emotion and participated in a conversation. Post collecting yourself, place that huffed state in check and use thankfulness, because you can move forward. Spreading kindness sounds elementary. With practice kindness actually is secondary academia and beyond... Have you used kindness for another just one time this week? Would you consider kind behavior? Really, really would you consider what your kind behavior looks like to another person (yogini)? How wonderful life is when you are in the world? It is a little bit funny, this feeling inside. Can you feel it? Showing thankfulness for food in your home, shampoo, soap, air conditioning (we live in Texas) and for heaven’s sake garbage collection. Let us not have trash service for one week...... and see if garbage collection was taken for granted. Poofff there goes serenity.

Yoga practice allows for warm light, kindness, peace, serenity, calmness of spirit and thankfulness even for garbage collection...So.... yogini... consider what you take for granted and why you accept taking something for granted? Nothing lasts forever... great or crappy nothing lasts forever. Namaste Ways take nothing for granted. Namaste Ways how wonderful life is when you’re in the world.
