Well, fine print. When I mention the words fine print, what conjures in your mind? Fine print could mean a pattern of fabric on yoga pants that covers you J-Lo. Namaste. Namaste Ways “Fine Print” could mean outstanding journalism. You know, fine print is the chain of words many of us choose to just not read until a challenge arises. Namaste. For many of us fine print is the term used to describe crappy qualifiers in a contractual obligation. Fine print, huh. Fine print offers protection, boundaries, and definition with a meaningful word choice
framed in legalize. Namaste Ways. Fine print is a string of words in a diminished font to peruse for a greater, deeper understanding. So, what is your life’s fabric pattern, what is your story, and what is your “crappy qualifier”? Each of us has these items, this is our fine print. Think how different life could or would be if we identified, recognized and acknowledged “fine print”. From where does our fine print come? Does our fine print come with our birth certificates? Originate with our first grade educator, or change and modify with each life experience? How do we then navigate not only our own fine print, but the fine print edits of others? Maybe our family lineage deeply influences our “fine print”.
My Pop Pop, GEORGE P. RAHN, MLS, was a self-made man who paid it forward. His fine print was defined as the youngest of 4 siblings, raised working in an arduous family restaurant business. He elected to gain a higher education versus taking a stake in the restaurant, because his fine print told him that no one could take his education away, but the restaurant could close due to war, pandemic, or financial crisis. Fine print. GEORGE was a decorated U.S. Navy veteran, solidly opinionated with the knowledge of how to support those opinions with evidence
based research. Fine Print. My Pop Pop had a manicured homestead, impeccable integrity, and a loving heart. Although some would term him challenging, Pop Pop fought for what was “Right” and not
just for what he wanted to happen. Fine Print. His legacy has ensured that I have had an understanding of the meaning of “fine print”. Namaste and “Fine Print” pretty similar…wouldn’t you agree? So go ahead Fine Print your J-Lo. You can do it. “Fine Print Namaste, Namaste Fine Print”.
