WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY?

“Being kind contributes to making others happy. But according to a University of Warwick study, happiness made people about 12 percent more productive. So being kind isn’t just an ethical thing to do; it’s also good for business” Alex Cooper April 6, 2019

Several years ago a friend of mine and I attended a Happiness workshop. For 8 plus hours inclusive of lunch we connected with about 20 others submerged in Happiness maximizing our psychological capital for success with Jessica Pryce-Jones.

Happiness. You have heard the phrase “most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be”. Yes, I know that sentence grammatically does not cut the mustard...Mustard, hot dog, ballpark, cold beer, fans, blah…blah. Major League Baseball is back in play for now with the addition of virtual fans.

“There was ease in Casey's manner as he stepped into his place; there was pride in Casey's bearing and a smile on Casey's face. And when, responding to the cheers, he lightly doffed his hat, no stranger in the crowd could doubt 'twas Casey at the bat”.

Casey at the Bat, poem by Ernest L. Thayer, a setting for concert band and narrator by Randol Alan Bass. Alfred Publishing Co., Inc., 2008 Casey at the bat cannot believe it. (I do not care for hot

dogs, cold beer or others in the stands so virtual on all of these items is fine with me). How about with you?

Understanding that baseball is known as America’s pass time or is that Yoga could be known as America’s pass time? I have a friend that would say year after year, well Blake has baseball and she supported and cheered her son through the sport. Support, happiness, kindness, and understanding. Baseball is soooooo slow, except in an instant when the ball moves extremely quickly. Yoga may seem sooooo slow except when in an instant the pose and breath move toooo quickly. Wait.... this is a yoga related blog not a sports bar or baseball blog?!? LOL!

One TEXAS Rangers game played in years past, Uncle Ed purchased an entire section so no one would sit near us ..... hot, sweaty, beer guzzling people were placed

into other sections...Maybe this was Namaste Ways in action.

Human kindness was apparent, although was happiness just as apparent? Happiness what is that? If this action created a happy me...how did the actions bring the feeling of happiness, and was the feeling lasting, or momentary and fleeting? What makes you happy? Really, what is the feeling of happiness?

Happy...is your particular happiness a noun or a verb...come on you English majors let me hear your thoughts on Happiness.

Namaste Ways Casey at the Bat. Namaste Ways Michelle Miller. Namaste Ways Baseball. Namaste Ways Happiness, Struggling, Enduring, Accomplishing and Yoga Practice…Namaste Ways.
